Points to remember

Final selection is done based on marks scored in the online exam.
The minimum qualifying marks are as follows:
- UR – 48 (30% of maximum marks).
- OBC/EWS – 40 (25%).
- Other categories – 32 (20%).
There is no provision for re-evaluation/re-checking.

What is the difficulty level of the constable GD exam?

The questions asked in this exam are below matriculation level or class 10th level. So, the difficulty level for this exam is easy to moderate with most questions being easy and few moderate.

Is there a negative marking?

Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks per question, meaning, 1 mark will be deducted for 4 wrong answers.

What are the passing marks?

The qualifying marks for this exam are 30%, 25%, and 20% for general, OBC, and SC/ST respectively.

Total how many questions are there in the exam?

A total of 160 questions from different subjects will be in the exam.

Will the questions come in Hindi as well?

Every participant will get the choice to select a language in which the questions will appear for him/her. Along with English and Hindi, 13 regional languages are also given in the choice.

How many hours are given to complete the exam?

Candidates will get 60 minutes (1 hour) to attempt all the questions.

Is there an interview involved in the SSC GD exam?

No, there is no interview in the selection process of the constable GD.

How many exams are there in GD?

There is only one online exam for this exam, though there are other stages of selection i.e. physical and medical.

How many subjects are there in this exam?

The questions in this exam are asked from 4 subjects namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/ Hindi.
